Belmar Engineering was founded in 1975 by two North East engineers, one of whom is still the owner. They started off in a former blacksmiths workshop in the Woodside area of Aberdeen with a second hand manual lathe and a bed mill. They started off by specialising mainly in small machining jobs and hand welded fabrications. After several moves to premises around the city and gradually building their workforce, they eventually settled in the West Tullos Industrial Estate and then finally to their current location in 1985.
From its humble beginning, Belmar now has a machine shop covering an area of over 37,000 square feet filled with the latest CNC machinery, weld cladding machines and a workforce of approximately 100 employees. Many of our employees have more than 20 years experience within the company and as a result know our customers, their products and our customers requirements and expectations. They work as a team resulting in a smooth and professional attitude to the job ensuring products are being manufactured efficiently, to specification and deadlines.
Belmar has an ongoing apprenticeship scheme introducing young, local school leavers into the industry thus investing in future workforce.
